The Mindray Vetus EQ is a dedicated ultrasound machine for equine specialists. Equipped with Zone Sonography Technology (ZST+), the Vetus EQ has high-quality imaging with racehorse speeds. With a 15.6-inch LED wide monitor and 12.3-inch touch screen, the intuitive user interface makes scanning easy. The veterinary ultrasound machine boasts design features to withstand the elements that come with imaging animals like a sealed touchpad that prevents animal hairs. The system control panel and touchpad are also resistant to corrosion from harsh cleaning agents. The Mindray Vetus EQ weighs 6.6 lbs with the battery and is only 1.7 inches thick, making it lightweight and compact for travel. Other great features include the optional uBank to support up to 8 hours of continuous scanning and the iCover protective shell to prevent dust, dirt, dents, and smashes from accidental falls. The Mindray Vetus EQ was adapted from the new and extremely popular Vetus E7 and has the same main features but was designed specifically for equine application including the following features below.
Dedicated Equine Features:
- iWorks: Equine Dedicated Protocol, a standard and simplified workflow application reduces 50% exam time, 80% keystrokes.
- Abdominal Imaging: C5-1s convex array transducer for abdominal diagnosis.
- Reproduction Imaging: 6LE5VS intrarectal linear array transducer for reproduction.
- MSK Imaging: L13-3Ns wide frequency range linear transducer for tendon application.
- Cardiac Imaging: P4-2s phased array transducer with excellent penetration used for cardiology applications.
- Equine Presets: All of the above are built-in presets on the system (view images above to see how easy it is to select)
Tendon Application Software Features:
- iScape View: Provides wide-view image to help measure the tendon length and evaluate its status.
- iNeedle: Needle visualization enhancement. Provides the equine practitioner with an easy tool for injection, aspiration, and biopsy.
